Getting back into work after interruptions with ADHD: a resume routine + tools
The short version: Opsis is the interface for your work. It knows what you're doing and helps right where you are, with a tap. It sits on top of every app you use, and it helps before you think to ask. After an interruption, the named session, the source and the next step are still in the app you were in, so you don't have to rebuild the thread from memory.
Opsis isn't an ADHD treatment, a blocker or a focus timer. It doesn't claim to diagnose or improve ADHD. It reduces the cost of restarting by keeping the named session, the source and the next draft.
How it compares.
Restart aids vs clinical or blocking tools
| Tool | Job | Timers / blockers | Remembers your actual work |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opsis | Pick up where you left off across apps | None. No streaks, badges or notifications by default | Yes, in the apps you share |
| Focus timers / site blockers | Reduce incoming distraction | Yes, that is the product | No |
| Microsoft Recall | Search screen snapshots after the fact | No | Pixels on Copilot+ PCs only; usually off at school |
| RescueTime / ActivityWatch | Show where hours went | Reports, sometimes alerts | App names and durations, not the assignment thread |
Figures and shutdown dates come from the sources at the bottom, or from this site's own product copy. We don't invent competitor features.
Who it's for.
Students and anyone whose work is spread across apps who lose the thread after interruptions, including people with ADHD, and who want a resume aid, not a coach with streaks.
Your data.
Opsis only follows the apps you share. Private windows and password managers are never recorded. When assistance is on, content from those apps is processed in the cloud, encrypted in transit and at rest. There is zero data retention with our AI providers. You can pause, disconnect a source or delete your history whenever you like. Read the privacy policy · How Opsis handles data.
A resume routine you can run in two minutes
1. Open the document you were in, not the inbox. 2. Read the last three lines you wrote. 3. If Opsis is installed, tap: the session is there, and a cue appears if a source contradicts the next sentence. 4. Do one ugly two-minute step so the restart exists. 5. Only then open Canvas or chat.
The expensive part of an interruption is rarely the minutes away. It is rebuilding context. An app that remembers the work shrinks that rebuild. A timer only counts it.
FAQ
Is Opsis an ADHD app?
No. Opsis is the interface for your work. It knows what you're doing and helps right where you are, with a tap. Some people with ADHD use it as a resume aid. It isn't a medical device and it doesn't replace treatment, coaching or school accommodations.
Will it nag me?
Most of the time you won't see it. When something is worth a look, a small cue appears beside your words. There are no notifications or badges, and you can ignore a cue and keep typing. A handle on the edge of the screen pauses Opsis.
