Copilot “pick up where you left off” without a Copilot+ PC

Last updated 12 October 2026.

The short version: Opsis is the interface for your work. It knows what you're doing and helps right where you are, with a tap. It sits on top of every app you use, and it helps before you think to ask. You don't need a Copilot+ PC for that. Opsis runs on ordinary 64-bit Windows or Mac. Microsoft's Copilot Home uses that phrase as of 25 September 2026, but the rollout was described as Frontier/enterprise first, and on 7 October 2026 Microsoft said Copilot would understand “files and recent activity” on Copilot+ PCs “in the coming months.”

Recall remains Copilot+ only. Ask Copilot on the Windows 11 taskbar was paused amid feedback in October 2026. Students on school PCs are usually outside all of that. Opsis is the separate app for those machines.

Your data.

Opsis only follows the apps you share. Private windows and password managers are never recorded. When assistance is on, content from those apps is processed in the cloud, encrypted in transit and at rest. There is zero data retention with our AI providers. Same sentence, different computer

Microsoft made the sentence mainstream. Most student laptops can't run the feature behind it. Opsis answers the sentence on the computer you already have: it remembers the work in the apps you share and helps you continue, with sources, without a Copilot+ NPU.
